One of FSAE’s requirements is that a switch be placed behind the brake pedal such that if brake pressure is lost and the pedal overtravels its normal range, engine power is cut. I stepped in to design a housing that would allow us to fine-tune the position of this switch and allow simple mounting or dismounting given that any issues with this switch totally kill the car. You can just use your fingers to pry off the housing from one side if needed.

I turned to 3d printing for this housing as it is lightweight, and allows me to rapidly iterate a compliant design for the housing such that no tools are needed for removal. Check out some photos below:
