This is a design-in-a-day where I wanted to develop a system to mount our brake temperature sensors on our existing uprights securely and protect them from the harsh environment (read: rain, debris).
Below you can check out my Solidworks design and front upright sensor positioning assembly, resin printed housings, brake temp sensors with deutsch connectors I wired, and final installation:

The printed housings use captive nyloc nuts for clamping around the upright, and the sensor PCB was conformal coated with nail polish. These sensors were integral in tracking overheating throughout testing and ensuring that brake bias wasn’t set in a thermally unsafe manner. The 2019 car’s brake rotors literally exploded because of this, so I felt this addition was critical – and no brakes exploded this season!
